Our Verdict

Fjallraven’s Abisko Wool SS is a comfortable multiday use base layer that feels great next to skin.

The mix of synthetic polyester and natural merino wool is a great combo to beat any weather conditions you can throw at this top. It keeps you cool when you’re exerting yourself on the way up but then keeps you warm when you reach the top or stop for lunch, truly a top that does it all.

The loose cut of the top is great when you’re just wearing the top on its own because unlike many other first layers that are skin tight, you can relax and you feel like you’re just wearing a normal t-shirt, this combined with the tops ability to resist bad odours after multiple days of use makes this top a must pack for my trips.
